Have you noticed that most of the information out there seems to be geared toward the woman in your life who’s preparing for this life-changing procedure? And while it makes sense—she’s the one going through it, and the focus should rightfully be on her—it leaves us, the men, wondering: What about us? How do we navigate this situation, stay strong, and be the unwavering support she needs during such a challenging time?
This is my story.
My name is Trey. I’m a proud Southern guy who loves my wife more than anything in the world. I’m a father of five, a dedicated business owner, and an outdoor enthusiast. Flying is my favorite pastime, and I cherish the life I’ve built with my family.
But right now, I’m facing something I never expected. I decided to start this blog because, honestly, there isn’t enough support or guidance out there for men going through this experience alongside their partners. I want to share my journey—how it all began, the emotional impact it’s had on me, and the research I’ve uncovered along the way.
Our surgery date is set for February 17th, and I’ll be documenting everything: from the lead-up to the procedure, through my wife’s recovery, and all the ups and downs in between.
So, if you’re looking for someone who gets it—who’s in the trenches with you—stay tuned.
